“Michael Ivan made an artist bio video for me that I love. Being a photographer, I'm much more comfortable behind the camera but Michael kept the vibe relaxed during the interview process and I was so impressed with his work.

Michael clearly has a lot of skill in weaving together an engaging narrative and presenting it creatively and beautifully. He was fun and organized to work with throughout the entire process and I was super happy with the final result! Highly recommend.”

“Michael Ivan and his crew were amazing to work with! Not only were they completely professional, but they were also incredibly kind, respectful, and thoughtful. Michael's expertise in his craft was apparent as he was able to walk us through each step of the video-making process clearly. He was always available to meet to check-in about the project and responded quickly to all communication. I was impressed by his willingness to collaborate and intertwine our ideas with his creative lens... it made the process super fun! The final video project is absolutely phenomenal!”

“Loud communications did a television commercial for our brokerage. For someone who knew very little about video production, I found Michael Ivan and his team to be amazing. They walked me through the entire process, and the product was amazing. We have generated significant new business from the ad- and that has paid for the production and the cost to run the ad MANY TIMES OVER. Use this company.”

I started Loud Communications in 2002 with the idea of helping non-profit organizations and small businesses create high quality video production at an affordable price. Many of these groups couldn’t pay the high price for a marketing firm to coach them through the video process so they either didn’t create videos or they often found volunteers to do a subpar job.

My goal is to provide a full-service production with low overhead and a focus on helping my clients understand what their story is, who is their audience, and how to effectively tell their story visually.

Here’s how I help you create a video...

I start with asking questions. It’s your organization and I love to learn about what people do, how you do your work, and who is impacted by your products and services. From there, keeping the end in mind, I help develop an outline which leads to a script for your video. I partner with you to develop the content and think through who is best to tell your story. Is it a set of interviews with staff or testimonies from your community? Maybe it’s a voice-over narration that succinctly explains what makes you tick. Perhaps an animation best shows your process.

VIdeo production may include shooting on location in your space, in a studio, or out in the world where you make the magic happen. Though I am based in Baltimore, Maryland - I’ve traveled to dozens of countries and directed films in Africa, Asia, Central America, Europe, and all over North America. I find the right team to fit each project. I hire freelance professionals with years of experience and tons of the latest gear to make the video production go smoothly and look and sound amazing. This is also where I love to save my clients money. I can work with a reasonable budget and allocate resources to fit the project. I don’t spend my clients’ money on a fancy office or keeping a full time staff. I work with fun, creative, and self-motivated artists who are specialists in their video production services.

Video editing is where I get to piece together your story from all of the content we’ve filmed. For me, it’s like a jigsaw puzzle without the box. The end picture can be formed in a variety of ways. I love seeing the final video come together and tell a beautiful story. Music helps shape the feelings behind the words and images. It’s a balance between showing and telling that provides the audience with a response befitting the end we had in mind all along.

Post production is where the cool graphics happen. The final film is filled with videography motion graphics and text on screen, effects are added to give that punch. Stylizing the color and smoothing out the audio and transitions brings the quality of the video to a professional level. And then the production is ready to be shared in the format that suits your needs...whether that is a post on YouTube, a reel for your Instagram, air ads on TV, or anywhere you’d like to show off your new video.

Are you ready to grab a coffee (if you’re in the Baltimore area), hop on a call, or chat via zoom? I’m happy to offer a free 30-minute consultation to see if I can help tell your story. Send me an email or give me a call today.
