• Follow US Lacrosse U13 Youth Rules with these specific exceptions and emphasis:

- 25 minute running halves, 5 minute halftime

- Start/Stop last 2 minutes of the 2nd half

- Officials keep time on the field for everything (unless an adult that both coaches agree to is available on the sideline to keep time)

- Shooting space should be called

- No 3-seconds calls on offensive players carrying the ball

- Checking below shoulder only

- Call ground ball violations quickly in order to avoid prolonged scrums

- Players are allowed to kick the ball…but not sticks or bodies

- Shooters sticks are still not allowed to follow through into the goal circle

- Captains and coaches are the only people allowed to talk with the officials

- Upon a 6-goal lead, the other team may choose a free-clear from midfield

- Sudden Victory Overtime will be played until one team scores; 4 minute periods with one timeout per team per period

- Goalies must wear both shin guards and thigh pads

- Spectators and parents are on the opposite side of the field from benches

- All student fans must be supervised by a designated adult

BOYS

• Follow Federation Rules with MYLA Juniors specifics and the following exceptions and emphasis:

- 12 minute running quarters, 5 minute halftime

- Start/Stop time last two minutes of Quarter 4, winning team must keep within the restraining box

- Officials keep time for everything

- 20 seconds to get over, 10 seconds to get it in…over and back should be called

- No 1-handed checks

- Goalies not required to wear elbow pads

- Upon a 5-goal lead, the other team may choose a free-clear from midfield

- Sudden Victory Overtime will be played until one team scores; 4 minute periods with one timeout per team per period

- Spectators and parents are on the opposite side of the field from benches

- All student fans must be supervised by a designated adult
